Safari means "journey" in Swahili and the spectacular Village WaTuTu offers a Safari your guests never forget.

Description

Located just east of our Giraffe exhibit, this 5-acre replica of a north Kenyan Village provides guests with an authentic and awe-inspiring African experience. Mud-walled huts and grass-thatched roofs circle a Shady Elder's Grove where the rhythmic sounds of Africa fill the air; African thorn and ficus trees, varietal Acacia and Euphorbia, and red-flowered Crown of Thorns surround the exhibit; Dromedary Camel, Striped Hyena, Amur Leopard, Weaver birds, and Spur-thighed tortoise and addax antelope exhibits encircle the grounds.

For an additional fee, guests can also enjoy the popular petting Kraal, where they can enjoy close encounters with rare African domestic livestock such as miniature Sicilian donkeys, Jacob's sheep and Nigerian dwarf goats. An event at Village WaTuTu is unlike any other available in Riverside County, and will provide your guests with a truly memorable evening.

Available for evening rentals only, Village WaTuTu can accommodate up 500 guests for a seated event, and 1,100 for standing. Arrangements can be made for our animal ambassadors to greet guests at the main entrance, along with live African-themed entertainment at Elder's Grove and catering. Restrooms are conveniently located at the Village Entrance and next to the District Commissioner's House. A new sound system fills the entire Village, along with lighting throughout the exterior of The District Commissioner's House. Lanterns or other ambient lighting can be added throughout Acacia trees for a warm, authentic glow, along with tiki torches, which are available to rent at an additional cost.

EVENING RATES: $2,500.00

A special rental package for both Village WaTuTu and The District Commissioner's House is available for $3,500.

Basic staffing is included for evening rentals, which includes event coordination, some or all transportation needs via Safari Shuttle, maintenance, and security. Additional staffing fees may apply.
