Docent Application

As a Docent you must commit to volunteer two full seasons after graduation in Youth School Field Trips. Your commitment will be in an Interpretive capacity on grounds, for a minimum of 3½ hrs per week, including one weekday morning education class at 8:30am in the Education Center. If you cannot make this commitment, please consider becoming a General Volunteer.

As a Docent of The Living Desert, you agree to:

  • Maintain a Living Desert Membership
  • Work at least 2 seasons after
  • graduation as a youth tour guide
  • Purchase a docent shirt
  • Complete Docent Training Program
  • Attend weekly AM Ed. Class for a minimum of 2 years
