Join Kirk Anderson, Living Desert’s Garden Curator; Harry Quinn, Geologist, Archaeologist, Paleontologist and Historian; and Living Desert Staff in experiencing the Coachella Valley’s natural wonders: geology, flora, fauna and folk tales. Be sure to pack a lunch and bottled water.

Our stopping points in the valley will be finalized after our hoped for winter rains arrive. We may be heading to an early wildflower showing in the lower valley, or we could be focusing more on the San Andreas Fault and the intriguing geologic history of the valley. Whatever our focus, Kirk and Harry will keep you entertained and informed!
