EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS MANAGER AT THE LIVING DESERT
The Living Desert is seeking a skilled, personable and motivated individual to oversee and manage all of its events. Under the general direction of the Director of Park Services and Guest Relations, the Events Manager is responsible for selling rental space, and the planning, preparation and management of all on-grounds private functions, all community events on the grounds and community relations focused fundraising events off-site.
Secondary is the development, planning, preparation and management of daytime community events at The Living Desert with a focus towards increasing attendance by marketing the unique events for the enjoyment of our guests.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum three to five years experience in event planning, coordination and management required. Must be able to work a very flexible schedule; including nights and weekends. Must be an energetic self-starter with good leadership and communication skills and be willing to work with others in a team setting. Experience with CAD drawings considered a plus. This is a full time salaried exempt position.
