Quarters for Conservation

Quarters for Conservation

The Living Desert’s Quarters for Conservation is a community effort that helps six local and global conservation projects by collecting change in a fun, interactive booth located at the zoo’s entrance plaza. General admission prices include a $0.25 donation to Quarters for Conservation. Upon paying, visitors are given a token that allows them to contribute to the project of their choice.

Visitors and members can also give to the conservation projects by inserting loose change in the Quarters for Conservation booth. Each time a token or coin is dropped into the booth a recorded message provides information about the animal or habitat that is benefitting from the Quarters for Conservation program. Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half-dollars and dollar coins are all accepted! Quarters for Conservation project sponsorships are also available.

The next time you are coming to The Living Desert, don’t forget your spare change, and you too can be part of one of the zoo’s newest conservation programs.
