Film Screening with Dr. Anne Innis Dagg
Wednesday, January 11th, 7:00pm - 9:30pm
At the Rancho Mirage Public Library

The Living Desert is also partnering with the Rancho Mirage Public Library to host a free screening of the film The Woman Who Loves Giraffes and a follow-up Q&A with Dr. Dagg. This event will take place at Rancho Mirage Public Library - Community Room (71-100 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270). Doors open at 6:00pm. The screening will begin at 7:00pm.

The Woman Who Loves Giraffes re-traces the steps of Dr. Dagg's groundbreaking 1956 journey to South Africa to study giraffes in the wild— and discovers a startling contrast between the world of giraffes she once knew and the one it has become. Weaving through the past and present, her harrowing journey gives us an intimate look into the factors that destroyed her career and the forces that brought her back.

Following the screening, Dr. Anne Innis Dagg, will take the stage in person to discuss the film and answer audience questions.

*This event is free to the public.
