Giving Desert Tortoise Hatchlings a Headstart

On Monday, October 3rd at 11:00am PST, The Living Desert, joined by San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, will host a free webinar to discuss their collaborative desert tortoise conservation work and provide attendees with a special look at the recently rescued hatchlings.

In partnership with Edwards Air Force Base and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, these organizations are using headstart techniques to increase the survival rate for young desert tortoises, while also gaining insight on their natural behaviors.

In addition to giving an inside look at this project, the panelists will discuss why this conservation work is essential and how viewers can join in supporting this critically endangered species. Register for free at: bit.ly/DesertTortiseHeadStart
