This career-based camp will explore what goes into caring for the animals at The Living Desert and ensuring their health and wellbeing. With the guidance of the Learning and Engagement staff, campers will learn about and assist with the jobs that are a daily part of a zookeeper’s career. Responsibilities may include helping to clean exhibits, preparing animal food diets, creating enriched experiences, and designing safe and healthy habitats.
Delve into the fascinating world of animal biology as we examine teeth, diets, and adaptations. Learn how zookeepers use biology knowledge to provide the best possible care for each species. Join us on this eye-opening journey into the heart of the animal kingdom, where theory meets hands-on wildlife management!
