A DREAM COME TRUE AT THE LVING DESERT’S FAIRYTALES & FROG DAY FEBRUARY 10PALM DESERT/INDIAN WELLS, CA • January 29, 2018
Fanciful childhood fairytales come to life when Fairytales & Frog Day returns to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens on Saturday, February 10, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Children are encouraged to bring their inner prince or princess alive by dressing up as their favorite fairytale character. They will join Freddy the Frog and his strolling princesses, including Moana, Mulan, Anna, and Elsa, for photo opportunities and fun activities. Kids can show off their costume in style, at the “Ball” while they dance the day away, and visit the face painting and make-up artist booths to complete their look.
A highlight of the day will be the “Toad”ally Royal Tea Party featuring tea and treats, crafts, music, a special corn hole frog toss, a keeper chat with frogs, and more.
“Everyone loves a fairytale and we invite people of all ages to visit The Living Desert and enjoy this enchanting day,” said Dawn Petrick, Director of Park Services. “This event is in addition to the exciting daily happenings at the zoo and gardens such as giraffe and lorikeet feedings, keeper chats and carousel rides.”
Children aged 3-12 are welcome to join one of the four “Mad Hatter” Private Tea Parties. The exclusive tea party is $20 per child and will consist of story time, a souvenir princess cup and a commemorative photo with the princesses, along with a special treat! Tea party times are scheduled for 9:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11 a.m., and 11:45 a.m. Pre-registration for the “Mad Hatter” Private Tea Parties is available online at www.LivingDesert.org/event or by calling 760- 346-5694 ext 2001.
