JOIN THE LIVING DESERT IN CELEBRATING FAIRYTALES & FROG DAY ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 16PALM DESERT/INDIAN WELLS, CA • January 31, 2019
It’s going to be a magical day at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens’ annual Fairytales & Frog Day held Saturday, February 16, from 9 a.m. to 12:30pm. The event is free to members or with paid park admission.
Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite fairytale character, explore the zoo and gardens, and experience the grand tea party. Popular princess characters, along with Fiona and Shrek, Freddy the Frog, and Mojave Maxine will be interacting with attendees and posing for photo opportunities.
Guests will enjoy entertainment by DJ Bazz, a magical maze, crystal ball bowling, corn hole frog toss, face painting, make-up station, crown decorating, arts and crafts and more. When the clock strikes noon, the Royal Ball Dance Party begins in the Living Legacy Garden.
“While Fairytales & Frog Day is geared toward younger children, guests of all ages can enjoy the special activities and experience The Living Desert as it becomes even more magical,” said Erin Scott, Senior Manager, Brand, Marketing and Public Relations. “Our daily activities such as giraffe and lorikeet feedings, keeper chats and carousel rides will also be available during the event.
Children aged 3-12 are invited to join Belle and Cinderella at one of the four Enchanted Private Tea Parties. These exclusive tea parties are $20 per child and include a photo opportunity with the princesses, along with a souvenir princess cup and special treat. Tea party times are scheduled for 9:15 a.m., 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 11:30 p.m. Space is very limited and the Enchanted Private Tea Parties will sell out and are an additional cost to zoo admission.
