(April 2, 2019) – Spring has sprung and Easter is on its way! It’s time to hop over to the annual Easter Eggstravaganza at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The entire family will enjoy games and activities including a zoo-wide egg treasure hunt, crafts, face painting, keeper chats, the Wildlife Wonders Show, and more. Children can meet and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny or at the special photo op with 10,000 eggs. Be sure to catch the race between the Tortoise and the Hare when The Living Desert’s Easter bunny takes on the Zoo’s tortoise mascot.
Guests can also win prizes such as free churros and soft serve ice cream, tickets to special events, or even a family membership by participating in zoo-wide egg treasure hunt. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bag or basket to collect their eggs along the way.
“Nothing says Spring more than gathering the family and enjoying our Eggstravaganza activities at The Living Desert,” said Allen Monroe, President/CEO of The Living Desert. “We encourage everyone to come out and celebrate the day while enjoying the beautiful blooming gardens and desert wildlife.”
The Living Desert’s Easter Eggstravaganza is free for members and included with paid park admission for non-members. Parking is free. The Zoo and Gardens is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.LivingDesert.org or contact 760-346-5694.
