The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and Palm Springs Art Museum have partnered to give desert locals a special summer benefit. From June 1 through Labor Day – September 4, members of either organization will be offered free admission to both establishments.

“We are honored to partner with Palm Springs Art Museum to provide our members with the chance to explore additional cultural organizations throughout the desert,” said Erin Scott, Marketing and Public Relations Manager, The Living Desert. “We hope this program will create meaningful experiences for members of both destinations.”

Members of The Living Desert are allowed free entry into all three Palm Springs Art Museum locations: main museum, Architecture + Design Center, and The Galen in Palm Desert. Palm Springs Art Museum members receive free entry to The Living Desert. To take advantage of the offer, guests are to show their membership card at admissions.

“Partnering with The Living Desert is a wonderful way for Museum members to get the most out of their membership,” said Arlene Amick, Director of Audience Engagement and Communications, Palm Springs Art Museum. “We want to encourage locals to go out and delve into the culture that these institutions are built upon.”

Those who visit The Living Desert will be able to encounter a new baby giraffe and baby jaguar recently born on the conservation grounds, in addition to the cheetahs, zebras and other favorites.

At Palm Springs Art Museum, visitors can experience “Making It Modern” exhibition, a reinstallation of the museum’s foundational collection of works by international modern artists in Europe and the Americas, on display throughout summer, as well as Pat Lasch: Journeys of the Heart exhibition at Palm Springs Art Museum Palm Desert, The Galen. The Architecture and Design Center will host a Summer Lab in July to engage the community in workshops and design exercises related to the new park planned for downtown Palm Springs.

Please note the partnership program does not entitle either member group to receive additional member benefits at the reciprocating location, such as discounts on food, retail, tours, etc.
