International Cheetah Day

December 4 | 9am - 2pm

In celebration of International Cheetah Day, The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is featuring a variety of activities and learning opportunities on Sunday, December 4th.

8:00am - 5:00pm: Visit the Discovery Center for fun hands-on activities and to learn more about cheetahs.

9:00am: Join us for a special Grasslands Keeper Connection at the Cheetah Habitat. In this connection, you’ll hear from some of the keepers who not only take care of the cheetahs at The Living Desert, but have also recently traveled to Africa to work with our conversation partners, the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) to assist in the care of juvenile cheetahs rescued from illegal animal trafficking.

9:00am - 2:00pm: Meet some of CCF's team members at the Cheetah Habitat to learn about their important work and start your holiday shopping with gifts that support cheetah conservation! Items for sale will include unique handmade African jewelry and books for children and adults. They will also have free temporary tattoos and conservation literature.
