Mongolian Desert Conservation Talk
Join us in the Chase Administration Building, Tennity Boardroom, on Thursday, December 1st at 12pm as we welcome guest speaker, Ganchimeng Wingard, Regional Conservation Director for Asia, at the Denver Zoo, for a presentation on the Ikh Nart Nature Preserve, Mongolian Steppes, and Gobi Desert conservation.
World Disability Day
World Disability Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of those with disabilities. This year’s event will bring together several local organizations and resources that help to promote the capabilities of people with disabilities. There will also be a number of games and activities in the park for attendees.
In these one-day camps, children aged 5-13 will be enthralled by the wonders of wildlife as they engage in special activities, arts and crafts, up-close animal encounters, and more!
Drop your little elves off for a fun-filled morning at the zoo’s workshop (the education center)! All of our animals made the nice list this year, so children will help make presents for them while you finish your list.
Jump On Board The Living Desert Express
Join us for this two-day hands-on family workshop to learn how to set up a G-scale garden railroad, the largest of the model trains.
Zoo Families: Wildly Diverse!
Not all animal families look alike! This family program invites you and your pride to learn about the animal families here at The Living Desert. The event includes an up-close animal experience, story time, a craft, tram tour, and admission to the zoo afterwards.
