K-1: Blazing Trails and Frosty Tails
As the seasons change, take the time to stop and look at our landscapes changing around us. During this one-day camp, campers will learn about the ways in which animals use adaptations to survive the desert extremes – including the cold! Discover how our native wildlife survives the chilly weather to stay safe and warm!

2-3: We Like to Move It Move It
Come on everybody, do the locomotion! During this one-day camp, campers will explore and discover all of the different ways that desert animals and plants move... whether that locomotion be across the sand, across the sky, or even across the globe!

4-6: Leader of the Pack
From painted dogs to naked mole rats, to wallabies and even goats, many animals live in groups with hierarchical structures -- But who’s the boss? And how do they become that way? During this one-day camp, campers will learn about the different ways that animals form hierarchies, and how one member rises to become the leader of the pack.

Check-In

Check-in will take place at the Education Gate, which will be on the far left side when you enter the main parking lot of The Living Desert. You can follow the purple flags to the Education Gate.

Camp check-in will begin 15 minutes prior to when camp instruction is scheduled to start. Pre-activities will be provided before instruction begins. We kindly ask that all parents and guardians exit the Education Gate by camp start.
