Week 1 + 2:
- Grades K-1: Sounds of Nature
Animals communicate in incredible ways! You’ve heard rhinos snort, kookaburras laugh, and coyotes howl — but what about giraffes? Join us at ZooCamp to explore the fascinating world of animal communication and uncover the many ways they share information.
- Grades 2-3: Animal Mythbusters
Can frogs give you warts? Do opossums really hang upside down by their tails? Are bats actually blind? Join us as we put these famous animal myths to the test! Campers will dive into the scientific process — forming hypotheses, conducting experiments, and uncovering the truth behind some of the wildest animal misconceptions.
- Grades 4-6: Zoo Designers
Discover what it takes to create safe, engaging habitats for animals! This week, campers will go behind the scenes to explore habitat design, take on exciting engineering challenges, and even build their own habitat for a Zoo animal.
Week 3 + 4:
- Grades K-1: On the Menu
Get ready for a wild week of ZooCamp as we uncover the fascinating ways animals find, catch, and eat their food! From stealthy hunters to resourceful foragers, campers will explore the science behind animal diets through hands-on activities, up-close encounters, and exciting games. Get ready to dig in — some of these eating habits might surprise you!
- Grades 2-3: Eco-Expressions
Unleash your creativity and make a difference for the planet! In this three-day camp, campers will explore the powerful connection between art and conservation. From nature-inspired creations to upcycled masterpieces, they’ll discover how artistic expression can help protect the world around us. Join us for a hands-on journey where every artwork tells a story of sustainability!
- Grades 7-10 (Week 3): Presenting the Wild
What do the Wild Kratts, the Irwins, and Sir David Attenborough have in common? They’re all incredible wildlife storytellers! This week at camp, campers will step into the spotlight to learn the art of podcasting, news broadcasting, and presenting like a real zookeeper. Through hands-on activities and fun challenges, they’ll hone their communication skills and bring the wonders of the animal world to life in their own wildlife-themed productions.
- Grades 4-6 (Week 4): Around the World in 3 Days
Pack your bags for a global adventure — without ever leaving the Zoo! In this exciting camp, campers will travel across continents to discover amazing animals, explore diverse habitats, and learn how different groups of people connect with wildlife. Through hands-on activities, up-close animal encounters, and fun challenges, they’ll become world travelers and conservation ambassadors in just one day!
