WildLights is SOLD OUT for November 23rd and November 25th.
Recognized in the Top 5 Best Zoo Lights by USA Today, WildLights is a magical winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, dazzling light displays, and holiday fun. It is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and make lasting memories with friends and family.
WildLights’ pathways will take guests on an illuminated journey around the Zoo with endless awe-inspiring sights and festive photo opportunities. Guests can go for a spin on the carousel, enjoy themed treats, take a free, souvenir photo with Santa, and much more. In true WildLights tradition, the G-scale model trains, with more than 3,300 feet of track, will be decked out for the holidays.

Advanced reservations are required for both members and guests. We recommend purchasing tickets as far in advance as you can, as we anticipate this event selling out. Tickets may be purchased above or by calling (760) 346-5694.

- Your timed WildLights ticket indicates the earliest time you can enter the Zoo. All daytime visitors, including members and guests with WildLights tickets, must completely exit the Zoo by 5:00pm. Beginning at 6:00pm, WildLights guests will be allowed to enter at the time designated on their ticket.
- Parking is free in the Zoo's main parking lot, but spaces can fill up quickly. Please plan to carpool and/or use a rideshare service to save time. Overflow parking is located on Portola Avenue, Haystack Avenue, and Buckboard Avenue. (Further parking information is in the below FAQs.)
- If you are purchasing Member Tickets in person, please have your membership card and valid photo ID, matching the name on the membership, with you.
- Guests of all ages will be able to pose with Santa for photos through December 24th. Santa will then depart for the North Pole on Christmas Day and will not be at WildLights on December 26th - 30th.

Can I use my tickets on any night?
No. WildLights tickets are valid only on the specific date and time for which you purchased your tickets.
Why are there timed entry tickets?
Timed-entry tickets help us regulate how many people are in the Zoo at any given time. Once inside the event, guests may stay until the event ends at 9:00pm.
I purchased my tickets online, but haven’t received the tickets or confirmation?
Once you complete your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email from "eGalaxy Store" <email@example.com>, and your ticket order will be attached as a PDF.

Does The Living Desert offer members special pricing or entry days?
Member admission to WildLights is discounted to $14 per person and we are pleased to offer an exclusive Member Preview Night on Tuesday, November 22nd.
Are WildLights tours available?
WildLights is a self-guided experience. Group and private tours are not available during this event.
Will there be tickets available day-of?
You are strongly encouraged to purchase your WildLights tickets in advance as this event can sell out quickly.
What is the refund policy?
WildLights tickets are non-refundable. If you pre-purchased tickets, but are unable to attend, consider giving them as gifts to friends or family. WildLights is a rain or shine event.
What To Know Before you Go
Can I enter the Zoo before the event starts?
WildLights is a separate, ticketed event. Your timed WildLights ticket indicates the earliest time you can enter the Zoo. All daytime visitors, including members and guests with WildLights tickets, must completely exit the Zoo by 5:00pm. Beginning at 6:00pm, WildLights guests will be allowed to enter at the time designated on their ticket.
Where should I park?
Parking is free in the Zoo's main parking lot, but spaces can fill up quickly. Please plan to carpool and/or use a rideshare service to save time. Overflow parking is located on Portola Avenue, Haystack Avenue, and Buckboard Avenue.
Please be courteous when parking on neighborhood streets; do not block driveways, park in red/No Parking zones, or block in other cars. Please be mindful of barricades and signage that is put into place to create a smooth parking experience for our guests. Also, please be expeditious when dropping off friends and family near the front gate so as not to impede the flow of traffic.
What can I do at the event?
WildLights will feature several fun and festive nightly activities including:
• Exploring the Zoo’s lighted pathways and light displays, including the Tunnel of Lights and Synchronized Light Zones
• Photos with Santa
• Plentiful photo opportunities
• Holiday carousel
• Festive fare will also be available for purchase, including hot chocolate and s’mores stations, beer, wine, and sprits, and snacks
Can I meet Santa?
Guests of all ages will be able to pose with Santa for photos through December 24th. Santa will depart for the North Pole on Christmas Day, so he will not be at WildLights on December 26-30.
Are gift shops and concessions open?
Yes, the gift shop and concessions will be open, as well as a selection of specialty eateries, including the S’mores Station and Hot Chocolate Bar.
Can you see animals during WildLights?
Although the light displays are the main feature of the event, some animals may be visible.
Accessibility at WildLights
Are strollers and wheelchairs available to rent?
Yes, The Living Desert rents strollers, wheelchairs, and ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicles). Rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Single Strollers: $6.00*
Double Strollers: $8.00*
Electric Scooter/Electric Convenience Vehicle: $25*
*All rental prices are plus tax.
Is the route wheelchair accessible?
The zoo offers wide, paved pathways throughout the park, making exploring accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.
Please keep in mind that there may be heavy crowds during the event.
What if someone in my party has sensory processing needs?
We strive to provide a safe and friendly environment that visitors of all ages and abilities can enjoy.
