Wildlife Ranger Challenge

Saturday, September 20

7:00 am - 10:30 am

The Black Mambas Anti-Poaching Unit, created by Transfrontier Africa, empowers women from local communities in South Africa to protect wildlife. Their work has been remarkably effective in removing snares and deterring poachers in the Olifants West Nature Reserve, part of Greater Kruger National Park.

Each year, the Wildlife Ranger Challenge (WRC) unites rangers across Africa in a 21km race, celebrating their dedication and raising critical support. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, women from the Black Mambas will proudly compete — and you’re invited to join the challenge desert-style at The Living Desert or from anywhere in the world!

How You Can Join

Saturday, September 20

  • 7:00 am – 2.1-mile walk/run in honor of the 21km challenge
