This August, The Living Desert is reopening after hours for WILD Nights — a rare chance to explore Wild Americas and experience the desert as day turns to night. Join us on Fridays, August 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 7:00-9:30pm. Members get in early at 6:30pm!
Each night you’ll be able to enjoy:
🐾 Wild Americas After Dark – The giraffes are taking the night off! Venture to Wild Americas, a rarely-seen-at-night section of the park, and say hello to the North American animals like the mountain lions, Mexican wolves, skunks, jaguar, bighorn sheep, and the baby bobcats.
💦 Splashing Under the Stars –Make the most of warm summer nights with a stop at the splash pad to cool off in the fountains and watch the colorful lights.
🐺 Special Keeper Connections – Meet our Animal Care team and learn how they care for your favorite animals.
🦇 Bat Detection – Head to the Sonoran Pond to tune into the nighttime chatter of native bats.
🦂 Scouting for Scorpions – Grab a blacklight and join a guided stroll in search of these glowing desert dwellers.
🏆 Desert Trivia – Test your knowledge and compete to win cool prizes. Interactive questions and prizes for trivia champs
🎶 Evening Eats & Entertainment – Enjoy tasty offerings and themed drinks throughout the park. The menu changes each week, so come hungry — and check out all four nights!
Each night, members will have access to:
✔️ Early entry to the event (6:30pm)
✔️ Guided walks through Wild Americas at 7:00pm and 8:00pm
✔️ Special giveaway opportunities
