The Living Desert is committed to fostering the next generation of conservation heroes. We are hosting our fourth annual Women in STEAM Career Day on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in observation of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science to highlight women in STEAM professions. Our goal is to inspire diverse learners to engage in scientific exploration and inquiry to address the environmental challenges of today and tomorrow. We hope that young visitors will see themselves reflected in the featured STEAM Ambassadors and know that they too can change the world.
Join The Living Desert and our partners on February 7th between 10am and 1pm for the opportunity to meet and interact with women in STEAM and participate in hands-on STEAM activities. Students K-12 will have the chance to talk with women in:
Accounting
Animal Care
Conservation
Conservation Education
Engineering
Information Technology
and more!
The location of this event will be in our Living Legacy Garden located right inside of the main entrance.
