The bobcat kittens have been busy making The Living Desert — and your hearts — their home. But before they found their fur-ever home at Eagle Canyon, David and JoAnn faced an uncertain beginning.
In late spring of 2025, The Living Desert received a call from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife about two orphaned bobcat kittens in need of immediate care. Within 48 hours, two of our dedicated animal care team managers, Renee Barnett and Wendy Enright, set out to pick them up and bring them to their new home.
Thanks to everyone’s quick action, compassion, and expert care, David and JoAnn are safe, healthy, and speeding around their habitat at The Living Desert. If you’ve visited recently, you’ve likely seen them playing, exploring, and discovering, getting bigger every day!
Watch their inspiring journey below and see how far they’ve come.
