Soleil Ellen, a Mexican wolf at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, recently sustained an injury, leading to the discovery of a mid-shaft spiral fracture in her right humerus. After consulting experts, our veterinary team decided that amputation was the best course of action for her physical and mental wellbeing.
