Howl-O-Ween, the most fun way to celebrate with amazing animals from around the world, returns to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens on Saturday, October 30th and Sunday, October 31st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with scavenger hunts, pre-stuffed treat bags, and much more. The event is FREE for The Living Desert members or included with regular zoo admission.
Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes and participate in the family-friendly, Halloween-themed festivities while also taking in The Living Desert’s everyday attractions and wonders. In lieu of traditional trick-or-treating, children 12 and under will receive a Boo-in-a-Bag treat bag, while supplies last.
“We’re delighted to kick off our exciting season with one of our most popular annual events, Howl-O-Ween,” said Erin Scott, Sr. Brand, Marketing, and Public Relations Manager. “With so much anticipation from our guests and members, this will be a lively event for the entire community.”
Howl-O-Ween activities include a self-guided scavenger hunt to learn about The Living Desert’s most misunderstood animals. Spooky stories and tall tales will be dispelled as guests learn about the unique features and attributes of vultures, hyena, Mexican wolf, coyote, and many more.
Visitors are encouraged to pick up a program upon entry for scavenger hunt details and the schedule to catch a glimpse of their favorite animal enjoying pumpkin pandemonium — a special pumpkin experience that doubles as a tasty holiday treat.
Advanced reservations are required for all general admission tickets. For more information and to make reservations, visit www.livingdesert.org. The Living Desert is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
